Happy Halloween

I do not support the history of Halloween but I always fall into the trap of fun festivities. The outfit is ALWAYS the best part. For this year, let's say I was Cleopatra meets Michael Jackson's dream video girl. Creative, no? If I don't have you sold, when I first bought the outfit, for $15 might I add, it went to my ankles, full chest coverage and had a cape. The cape had to be thrown out all together, I cut a shape in the front chest and I roughly stitched the ends up to give a shorter body to the dress. As well, I bought a bicep bracelet last time I was in New York City and it was perfect for the costume. I did some work on my makeup, though make up is not my forte in the least bit, and TA-DA...! You have my Halloween costume.
I wore it twice, one night with my hair up, and one with my hair down. Both times my make up was different. Since today is the official day of celebration, I wish you all a safe night.

No drunk driving, no going home with the "attractive" zombie at the party, and by all means, NO STAYING HOME.

Jungle Gym: 2 New Articles

{NSFW}

I have recently done two articles for Jungle Gym Magazine that are worth checking out. Jungle Gym has so many updates for their viewers and that is enough in a publication to get me hooked. I sit through hours of lectures every day and I need something stimulating that is unlike anything else. The New Era article was about a creative competition that they launched and the Big Bad Wolf video is just a little something of humor - I suppose depending on your taste. once again, the video is NSFW. It's quite suggestive.

Something strange

What do you think of this necklace?
Every time I wear this necklace, someone's hands always draw in for a quick touch. It was first awkward but I have gotten used to it. I love pieces that are unique and can get someones attention. For me that means that on those days I want to wear jeans and a basic top, I can throw on a piece like this and make it seem like I actually tried. It's always a humorous morning experiment for me.

Military Blue

It seems this has been my emergency jacket so far this season. You know, the one you grab in a hurry on the way out of the door. I absolutely love it and not to mention its warm inside. It definitely has a faux-military feel to it, which may be my favorite thing about it.

Accessorize

Aren't accessories wonderful? I love to pile them on, mix match, everything! The first, I got in Puerto Rico. The woman told me that it was good luck and when it fell off, the good luck would return to me. Of course I don't actually believe this, but hey.. It's part of the experience in traveling. Buying into the scams. Scamming alone, it's a beautiful bracelet if you ask me.
The other just seemed to be a new spin on charm bracelets. I have loved them since I was a young girl and with pearls, it's even better.
Give your day a little extra jingle, wear a bracelet today.

Teavana

As I have mentioned before, I really love collecting coffee cups. Coffee and tea has always been a bit of a passion for me. Well as a late birthday present, I received a Teavana tea set and two wonderful teas. I, of course, took pictures to share with you all. It really made my whole entire weekend. It's definitely something that I can keep for a lifetime and something so unique. I spoke with my boyfriend and jokingly told him that the tea set must be used for special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, and ever so often breakfast in bed mornings.

Floral Sense

I received these pantyhose as a birthday gift and they just arrived in the mail this week. I was so excited to try them on. They are from Urban Outfitters and were a special of 2 for $20 I believe. The only thing I would say about them is they are thin compared to other pantyhose products and also, they run a little small which makes their thin material even more of a problem. I got two pairs just in case one rips.
I absolutely love the floral design and I hope I can pair them with some shorts for chilly days before winter truly sets in.

Update

This past week has been crazy! I am no closer to finding a camera than I was last week, but I have had an eventful week at that. Three days of partying and no regrets. That's what I call a good time. These are pictures from my night time outfits and one day look. Something simple for a city parade I attended. Which is your favorite?

Post-Birthday

I made a crucial mistake of not telling you guys that I would be low-key this week because it was my
BIRTHDAY! My 21st to be exact!
Actually my birthday was yesterday, the 9th. I had a wonderful time with my friends and family. I couldn't have asked for anymore than that. I received a lot of love, cards, gifts.. so I must share a new outfit I received over the weekend. I absolutely love the sleeve on it. It was part of a gift from my boyfriend who is far away in Puerto Rico. It's perfect for a nice evening out with friends.

Blazer Love

(pardon the wrinkles)
October has arrived and I am so happy to finally be pulling out my blazers and light jackets. Autumn and winter are my favorite seasons and primarily the time that I have the urge to go shopping. Fashion has such a richness in their materials and textures, I can't help myself. I pulled out the four jackets that I use the most in autumn and thought I should share a little glimpse before all of the outfit pictures come a little later. Happy October my dear bloggers.

Jacket 1: From New York; my favorite of the four. I love the inner lining
Jacket 2: Gift from my mother while in London
Jacket 3: Gift from my mother while in London
Jacket 4: Rampage blazer. I have had this years and just now getting around to wearing it

A Week in Absence

First things first, it has been super hard for me to post pictures and keep my blog updated without my camera working. Being that I have some financial business to handle, I have been unable to purchase a new one. Hopefully, that will will change very soon.
Second, my 21st birthday is on Sunday, October 9. I am so excited. I can't say I particularly want anything (unless it is a airline ticked to Puerto Rico), a simple gesture of love from friends and family is always enough for me. Sadly I realize that every birthday after this probably won't be as exciting. It's just the pining up to middle age here-after.
Last, I have recently caught a common shopping virus. You know the one where if the price is low, you say, "What the heck, what could it hurt?" and you buy things you wouldn't particularly consider otherwise. Well, those few small pulls on my wallet for a good month now are starting to show their ugly head on my bank account. What do I have to prove for it? A desk full of nothings but a heck of a lot of entertainment.

Vibrations

I have been enjoying AlunaGeorge all week. I actually started using Spotify along with about three other programs and sites to search for new music. I have been thoroughly enjoying this song particularly and to see that the fashion presented was uncompromised makes it even better if you ask me. I hope you all enjoy this one.
